Snowy Day

Snow was predicted for this weekend and it came. Of course, on Friday, everyone scurried around running those last minute errands before getting snowed in. The grocery store was CRAZY! Hundreds of people buying milk, bread, and eggs. The Kroger was actually out of eggs! The only thing I could think of was that everyone was going to have a French toast eating contest over the weekend. I bought other things, like candy making ingredients and potato soup fixins.

So, what do you do on a snowy winter day? Well, Andy and I had some great ideas for today.

First, you sleep in and then make some balloon animals from the awesome kit your friend gave you:

After that, you put your snow gear on and go outside to take a wintry picture of your house:
Next, you take a picture of your husband shoveling the driveway. Nice job, Andy!
Then, you go inside and make some nice potato cheese soup for lunch. Yum!

This afternoon we might make some Christmas candies, watch some football, wrap some presents, and knit. By we, I mean Andy will watch the game and I will do the others:)

Babysitters' Club

When I'm not studying, writing papers, or working, one of my favorite activities is babysitting. In October and November I had a few fun playdates with my little friends. Here are my buddies Clark, Dara, and Delany:

They belong to Carla, my friend who I used to work with at Easter Seals. She is amazing!

Caden and Marina came over to watch the Colts game while Chanda and Damon went to the game. The Colts won!!! And we had a great time reading, coloring and playing football. My righthand man for this gig was Andy, of course.

Then, I got to share in John's babysitting gig for Nate and Lara's Samuel. It was John's first time for feedings and dirty diapers, so I lent a hand. We enjoyed our time with Samel, who is the sweetest little guy!
