Diva Reunion

I had the wonderful opportunity to reunite with all of my college roommates last weekend in Tennessee. My friend Bridget and her husband Peter are renting a house near the Smoky Mountains and he is starting a new restaurant at Blackberry Farm.

We had the best time, and it was like no time had passed since the last time we were all together in 2002. We caught up on our lives, families, careers, and especially the little ones. We had a cookout, campfire with s'mores, went walking on the creek, played games, and mainly enjoyed talking. Our husbands all enjoyed each other too!

Here are some of the photos from the weekend:

Wonderful Fall!

Even though fall has been well under way for awhile, we enjoyed some especially fall-like activities this week. We raked leaves and then vacuumed them up. That was fun! We had four huge piles, and though I wanted to, I did not jump in them. We have three gorgeous trees in our yard that turned beautiful shades of yellow and orange.

Today, I baked a batch of persimmon pudding using pulp that my brother made himself from the persimmons on Green Street. I used a recipe from some old ladies in Worthington, IN who sell persimmon pulp for their senior center fundraiser. It is quite a yummy recipe.

Here is a picture of the final product, which I am going to share with some friends during the Colts game. They are not from Indiana, so they may have never had this wonderful treat.

Special shout out to Carrie and Milo! I wish you could be here to see the colors and jump in the leaves with me!!!
