What have I been doing?

My blog is so sporadic that I must email people and tell them to come here. Sad, huh? Well, maybe I'll get better at posting more frequently. This summer I didn't do much but homework 24/7.

I just wanted to share what I've been working on recently. My grandad asked me to redo the family photo album form the 40's and 50's because it was falling apart. I transferred all the photos to a spiffy new album and scanned them, which makes it so much easier to share with everyone. In the process of doing all this, I learned a lot about family history.

There's just something special about old black and white photographs. They have an artfulness that is lacking in color photography. Enjoy some of my favorites from the album:

Grandad flying over China, Burma, India 1945

In the jungle, 1945

On leave back in Indiana with Grandmother, 1945

Grandmother and Aunt Carl as a newborn, January 1945

The Taylor Family around 1948

Carol Sue around 1949

Decorating the Christmas tree 1949

Baby John 1951

The Taylor Family 1951

Carol Sue and John with Mimi and Grandad Elliott, about 1955
