Franchitti wins!!!

Dario Franchitti won his first Indy 500 yesterday and John won his first Andy 500 pool. I learned yesterday that Mr. Franchitti has a Scottish accent. I was very perplexed until I found out that he is of Italian descent but was born and grew up in Scotland. How's that for multi-cultural?

Thanks to all for participating in the pool! See you again next year!

Catching up

I have been neglectful of my blog, mostly because of school. I just finished up a semester and am getting ready to embark on some summer classes. I'm happy to report that I did very well in all my classes.

I'll give you the summary version of the last month or so.

I did a lot of school work. If you would like to see what I've been working on, here are some samples:
I turned 30 on April 12 and Andy turned 28 on April 4 (he's still a youngin'). Here are our birthday pictures:

Andy and I just took a trip to Philadelphia, PA for his college buddy's (Shawn) wedding. We had time to visit Valley Forge National Park, Philadelphia museum of art, and walked all around Philly. Not to mention some prime shopping at King of Prussia Mall and IKEA! It was our first time taking our Subaru on a road trip, and it was a good one! I hope we have many more.

Andy and I at Shawn & Rachel's wedding at the
John James Audubon Center

Andy and his college buddies Jesse, Jason, and Shawn

Andy enjoys the scenic and historic
streets of Philadelphia

I am stunned to find my old apartment at 18th & Walnut
has been torn down for luxury high rise apartments:(

We are looking forward to many fun times this summer as a lot of our friends and family are visiting from Boston, Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, and Dallas. There will be lots more fun pictures to share!
